No Noord-Holland success on the 10 kilometers at the Olympic qualifying tournament (OKT). Mats Stoltenborg, Bart Mol and Victor Ramler did not finish in the top two and thus missed qualification for the upcoming games in Beijing. Jorrit Bergsma was first, Patrick Roest second.

In Thialf Hoofddorper Stoltenborg was the best North Hollander in sixth place in a time of 13:03.42. Ramler from Amsterdam and Mol from Wervershoof finished ninth and tenth respectively, more than half a minute from Stoltenborg.

The win eventually went to Bergsma (12:42.39), who was more than eight seconds faster than Roest. Both skaters also qualified for the five kilometers in Beijing yesterday.
