Small adventure for Daan (11) and Jurre (12) ends with red-white barrier tape and an explosion: ‘A lot to tell at school’

A careless afternoon with a metal detector in the new Nieuwland district ended in a small adventure for friends Daan (11) and Jurre (12) on Wednesday afternoon. Complete with police, red-white barrier tape and the Defense Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD). “We heard squeaking and then we started digging with a shovel.”
