The Dutch police have arrested a total of three people after the serious explosion in Amsterdam Nieuw-West on the night from Thursday to Friday. The police announced this on Saturday, after there was previously uncertainty about the exact number of arrests. The police have not yet made any official statements about the motive, but according to unconfirmed reports there were explosives for explosives in a cellar box.

The explosion at an outbuilding of an apartment building on Osdorper Ban injured seven people, two of them seriously. It is not known whether one or more of the suspects are among the injured. It is also unclear how the victims are doing now.
Possible explosives in basement
The police are still investigating how the explosion could have happened and say they are taking various scenarios into account. Among other things, the possibility that there was criminal activity involving explosives is being examined. The police are calling on people with information about this to share it.
According to unconfirmed reports, there may have been explosives for explosives in a basement box of the apartment. The police emphasized on Saturday that “at this stage of the investigation it is still too early to draw conclusions about what exactly happened”.
