Could open doors in Leipzig

Danny Röhl is apparently close to signing with Red Bull Salzburg. According to Sky, the German coach, who has been working in Great Britain since October 2023, is about to reach an agreement with the top Austrian club. The final details are still pending, but an agreement, including with Glasgow Rangers, is likely.
After stints as an assistant coach at FC Bayern and the German national team, Röhl joined Sheffield Wednesday in England three years ago and made a name for himself there. The 37-year-old was repeatedly mentioned as a candidate for Bundesliga clubs, but instead went to Scotland to Rangers last October, where he is under contract until 2028 and scored an average of 1.83 points in 40 games.
Salzburg would have to pay a transfer fee for Röhl, who enjoys a high reputation in the Red Bull cosmos. Last summer he was on the list at RB Leipzig, among others, who opted for Ole Werner instead. This is now on the verge of being eliminated, reportedly due to pressure from Red Bull Soccer. If Röhl does a good job in Salzburg, where the last championship title was three years ago, it could also open doors in Leipzig.
