A cancellation of the competition in Innsbruck would not be new. The third competition on Bergisel-Schanze was canceled as early as 2008 and was made up for one day later in Bischofshofen. Should it start today, then all DSV starters will be part of the party. For Pius Paschke it was a tight 50th place in the qualification, but he too made it into the competition. The best German was Severin Freund in sixth, who will certainly go into the competition today with a good feeling. Markus Eisenbichler finished eighth, but can look back on a strong training session in which he jumped to the unofficial hill record of 139 meters. So he should certainly be one of the top favorites again today. Karl Geiger is currently struggling with the tour, but he should also be able to jump into the top ten. It is already clear that there is not much time to go back. Innsbruck has no floodlights and so you can only jump as long as the view allows it. According to race director Sandro Pertile, the critical point will be reached at 3 p.m. If you can’t start by then, the competition won’t end. Then you will probably catch up on jumping in Bischofshofen, where you are much more flexible.

Stoch ends the Four Hills Tournament prematurely
While Kobayashi is jumping like unleashed this season, Kamil Stoch is looking at a difficult winter and nothing goes at all on the tour, which usually suits the 34-year-old. After he was eliminated in the first round in each of the first two stations, the Pole failed more than clearly in the qualification in Innsbruck with 59th place. Now he is supposed to return home and start training there.

Halfway through the tour, Ryoyu Kobayashi has the best chance of winning overall.
