The search for the culprits of the trondheim suit scandal led to the first suspension.

The ski jumping scandal around deliberately manipulated suits has led to the first personnel consequences at the management level. Coach Magnus Brevig was suspended on Monday (March 10th, 2025), the day after the end of the Nordic Ski World Cup in Trondheim, as well as the employee who was also involved.

The association thus draws the consequences from the suit fraud that sports director Jan Erik Aalbu was under growing pressure on Sunday. Anonymously filmed and published videos have been causing great excitement in ski jumping since Saturday. On the moving images you can see how the Norwegian team processes the competition suits in an inadmissible way in the presence of the 41 -year -old Brevig. The Norwegians have attached an unpaid seam to ensure more stability. The additional stability helps the jumpers to fly in the air.

Norcic takes over the coaching office

Aalbu had already announced consequences. He himself didn’t want to have known anything about the practices. Immediately after the large hill, in which Marius Lindvik and Johann André Forfang were disqualified, Aalbu had spoken of a “violation of regular violation”. Only later had he admitted fraud. However, he continues to enjoy the association’s trust. The coaching office now takes over the former Slovenian ski jumper Bine Norcic.
