Six young foxes form the framework for U21 handball players at the home World Cup

Six players from Füchse Berlin and cooperation partner 1. VfL Potsdam have been called up to the World Cup squad for the U21 national team.

The coaching trio of Martin Heuberger, Klaus-Dieter Petersen and goalkeeping coach Carsten Lichtlein nominated Lasse Ludwig, Max Beneke, Moritz Sauter, Nils Lichtlein, Matthes Langhoff and Tim Freihöfer for the World Cup in their own country, as the foxes announced on Tuesday. In addition, Marcel Nowak, a former young fox and current Potsdamer, is playing for the Polish team.

18 players – two goalkeepers and 16 field players – are preparing for the tournament starting on June 20th at the Sports School in Barsinghausen. In the preliminary round, the selection of the German Handball Association (DHB) meets Libya on June 20th in Hanover, Tunisia on June 21st and Algeria on June 23rd.

The final and the final placement games will be played in the Max-Schmeling-Halle on July 2nd.
