The World Cup starts were sailed in varying conditions, but the young promise kept their head cold and convincingly controlled the wind conditions in the Baltic Sea.
The young man is a second -generation top boat. His father, Sami Seliöis a double track motorboat F1 world champion.
– It was fun. We have also had a lot of workout abroad and good coaching, it didn’t need anything else. Compared to home waters, Germany had more difficult wind conditions. There was a harder surf and wind here, and the weather conditions changed several times during the week, but I was able to do my best in every weather, and I’m really happy with that, Seliö said in the release.
– Those winnings didn’t come easy. At some departures, I was able to fight for sixth place to be number one. I was able to keep my nerves under control.
Sami’s father was “extremely proud” for his son. Emotions came to the surface as her own boy rose to the highest platform.
– Yes, the emotions here came to the surface and the corners of the eyes got wet. Sisu has been in tough places before, so I trusted that she is nervous and she doesn’t get overwhelmed. Sisu showed that he was sailing rationally and could read water in all circumstances, and it is an important feature in this sport, Seliö rejoiced.
