The tabloid reports that passers-by, waiting for the ambulance, came to the aid of the bloodied TV star. In the end, Cowell was taken to hospital with “just” a concussion and a broken arm.

The accident comes a little over a year and a half after the music producer had a nasty blow in Los Angeles during a test ride on an electric bicycle. He broke his back in several places.
It was close, however, or Cowell would never have been able to walk again. The jury member told a year ago Additional TV that his spine was nearly shattered in the bicycle accident and that he knew immediately that his back had been broken.
Cowell didn’t realize until later that he shouldn’t have moved with this injury. “At that moment I just thought: I have to go in, I can’t lie here in front of the door. But when I lay in my bedroom, I almost passed out from the pain. It was very surreal.”
