Sicilian volcano Etna erupted again: ash is thrown ten meters into the air | Abroad

The footage shows lava shooting out of the top of the more than 3,300-meter high mountain in eastern Sicily. There are currently no reports of casualties or major damage.

The INGV has issued a warning for flights, but the current activity of the volcano will not affect aircraft traffic at Catania International Airport.

Mount Etna erupted in May last year. A cloud of black smoke poured out of the crater and the airport was closed due to volcanic ash in the air. Eruptions are more common. More than two years ago, an eruption of Etna followed by an earthquake caused a lot of damage. Dozens of people were injured and 1,600 homes were damaged.
