Aktan’s mother, who was heard as a witness in the case where singer Özcan Deniz is on trial for allegedly battering his ex-wife Feyza Aktan, with a demand for imprisonment of up to 1 year and 6 months, said, “Feyza’s hair was messy and there were signs of beating on her face. The voices I heard were Özcan’s. They were shouting and threatening sounds,” he said.
Complainant Feyza Aktan and defendant Özcan Deniz did not attend the hearing at the Istanbul 21st Criminal Court of First Instance. Özcan Deniz’s elder brother Ercan Deniz attended the hearing as a spectator. The lawyers of the parties were also present in the courtroom.

Feyza Aktan’s mother, Fatma Damarcan, who was heard as a witness at the hearing, said, “I was not there during the alleged events in Sarıyer and Germany. I was there during the protests in Muğla. I, my daughter, Özcan and my granddaughter were in Göcek for a holiday on the date of the incident. Feyza and I were there. There was an argument between Özcan and it was decided to return to Istanbul. So I packed our bags and put them in the car. Then I heard a noise and went home. When I entered the house, Özcan was walking out with my granddaughter on his lap. When I went out with my daughter, my daughter locked herself in the bathroom. After a while, my daughter Feyza We convinced him. He was crying all the time when he came out of the bathroom. Then when I talked to him, he said that Özcan had stuck him in the door and beat him by hitting his head. I did not see these moments. I heard from Feyza. Feyza’s hair was messy and there were signs of beating on her face. “The voices were Özcan’s shouting and threatening voices. Feyza was also screaming. After the events, we all returned to Istanbul together.” u.

Witness Neptün Altun, on the other hand, said that she was not at the scene of the injury allegations in Germany and Sarıyer, saying, “We were on vacation with Özcan and Feyza in Muğla Göcek. The argument that took place on the day of the incident was between Feyza and her mother. There was no argument between Özcan and Feyza. I didn’t see him beating Feyza,” he said.
The court adjourned the hearing, deciding that the trial file should be sent to the prosecutor to prepare his opinion.
