Shielded and more controlled: separate prison regime for father suspected of double infanticide

The father gets a separate regime in prison. He is shielded from other prisoners and is regularly monitored in the cell.

Double infanticide

The sisters’ father is suspected of double infanticide. The man was in a divorce and had a hard time with the proposal for the children’s visitation. He feared that he would see his daughters less often.

Their lifeless bodies were discovered last week on a farm in Waardamme. They were suffocated.

The father appeared before the council chamber in Bruges this morning. He decided on his further detention.
