Seventy becomes unwell on bicycle and falls, he dies on the spot
On Saturday shortly before noon PV cycled from the center of Egem towards his home in Kolonel Naessensstraat. The man suddenly became unwell about a hundred meters from his home.
A female driver, who was driving the car right behind him, saw how the man fell. She immediately stopped. The emergency services, including a MUG team, rushed to Kolonel Naessensstraat shortly afterwards. The fire brigade came to the scene with a tent to protect the victim.
Emergency services attempted to resuscitate the man on the street. However, all help was to no avail: PV died on the spot.
