Serie C, results: Sudtirol on the run, is +7. Padova brakes. Triestina, another knockout

In group A the domination of Javorcic’s team continues. Feralpisalò does not go beyond the 1-1 with AlbinoLeffe, in the rear Giana returns to victory

Shouldered at the top of group A. Sudtirol stretches over Padova and now enjoys seven points ahead, with a game to recover (Wednesday at 2.30 pm at Virtus Verona).

BIG MATCH

The obstacle on the way to the leaders was high, the trip to the field of Renate third in the standings. Match in balance until injury time, when Javorcic’s team passes (0-1) thanks to the header of the latest arrival De Marchi (from a corner kick). Although threatened by a post hit by Chakir, the unbeaten goal of Poluzzi between the championship and the cup rises to 651 minutes. The joy for Sudtirol is double given the result that comes from Fiorenzuola, where Padova stops at 0-0 (however 17 useful results), hits the post with Chiricò in the first half but this time fails to make use of the usual final siege he had paid against Pro Patria and Pergolettese. In third place, on par with Renate, comes Feralpisalò who equalized at home (1-1) with AlbinoLeffe: Balestrero responded to Galeandro’s guest advantage. The negative moment of Triestina continues (one point in the last five), surpassed by surprise at Nereo Rocco by Pro Sesto (2-3) who thus leaves the last place: in the highlights the brace of Capogna, the provisional equal of Triestina with the splendid overhead by Ligi, then the decisive goal scored by Sala with a great right from outside the box.

JUVE KO

Juventus U23 slips in Gorzonzola, home of Giana: 2-0 with goals from Andrea Tremolada and D’Ausilio and the black and white hopes of a comeback crushed by the red to Barbieri in the second half. In Piedmont, instead, Pro Vercelli smiles, where the Lerda cure continues to work (three wins and four evens): the goal from Della Morte (1-0) is enough for Piola to overcome Virtus Verona, in the third consecutive knockout. Sixth even in the last seven for Pro Patria, which reaches Lecco on 1-1 (Ferri replied to Ganz) without taking advantage of half an hour of numerical superiority for the red in Sperandeo. Second success in a few days for Mantua, 1-0 (Monachello) over Trento who made his debut with Bocalon just yesterday. Spectacular in the all-Lombard Pegolettese-Seregno challenge: hosts three times ahead and always achieved, with three goals in the last five minutes. Last in the standings is now Legnago, beaten at home by Piacenza (0-1) thanks to a penalty by Dubickas which is worth the third consecutive victory for the red and white.
