Schwenningen brings in former NHL first-round pick Senyshyn

The Schwenninger Wild Wings from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) are upgrading their squad with an earlier first-round pick from the NHL.

As announced by the Black Forest, attacker Zach Senyshyn is coming for the coming season. The 26-year-old was selected 15th in the first round of the draft by the Boston Bruins in 2015. In North America, the winger made 16 appearances in the NHL and had 132 points in 333 appearances in the AHL.

He was “full of anticipation for the new task” and “can’t wait,” said Senyshyn: “The talks with Stefan Wagner and coach Steve Walker were just as decisive as the perspective of playing in a place where people like ice hockey means a lot like in Schwenningen. That’s why I believe in a great year for the team and for me.”
