SBS 6 cancels Natasja Froger, cancels TV comeback: ‘Too bad’

Natasja Froger has been canceled by SBS 6: her TV comeback is cancelled. “I think it’s a shame, but it is what it is and there will probably be something new,” says the presenter.

A big miss by RTL 4: Natasja Froger was disrespectfully put aside by Peter van der Vorst’s TV station last year. The presenter has been removed from her TV show For the Same Money to make room for the fiercely criticized Leonie ter Braak. She took revenge with a transfer to SBS 6, but unfortunately that did not happen.

Tina’s prediction

Tina Nijkamp already predicted Natasja’s failed transfer last week in her podcast Tina’s TV Update. René Froger’s wife was going to make the program Bonje met de Buren for SBS 6, but we heard nothing more about that. “I think that will take a long time or it may not happen at all.”

Tina herself was the channel manager of SBS 6 and she knows about the difficulties with that program. “I have always understood that finding cases for Bonje met de Buren is extremely difficult and that seems to be the case again now, because that call that Natasja is in her own large garden was from six months ago, when it was high summer.”

Natasha canceled

It must all have been canceled and then kept quiet, according to Tina. “I actually think that might not happen at all. It also looks a lot like Mr. Frank Visser Makes a Statement, there are also many cases with neighbors, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t end up on the air.”

Natasja’s failed transfer is now confirmed by SBS 6. “Today it is clear that the program will not happen, because there are simply not enough registrations. Apparently there are not enough people who have beef with their neighbors,” says showbiz expert Bart Ettekoven at the desk of Show news.

Little enthusiasm

Bart doesn’t know exactly what it is about. “I immediately thought of Viktor Brand and Frank Visser – they are really doing great at the moment. So there is conflict between neighbors, enough of it, but there was little enthusiasm for this program.”

Natasja, who would do this on a freelance basis for SBS 6 and is therefore not under contract, says: “I think it’s a shame, but it is what it is and there will probably be something new. I am also working on something new.”
