Salernitana excluded from Serie A? More points for Genoa, Cagliari, Venice and Verona

If the amaranths were excluded from Serie A, the first leg matches would be canceled. The 4 clubs against which Colantuono’s team collected points benefited

It is the worst hypothesis, the one that no one would like to see happen: a maimed championship with 19 teams. But unfortunately it could become a reality. If Salernitana were excluded from Serie A, all the results obtained in the first round would be canceled. Who would gain from it? Obviously who hasn’t beaten it. The 8 points of the Campanians came thanks to two victories, against Venice and Genoa, and two draws, with Verona and Cagliari. These 4 would therefore benefit from the departure of the amaranths, given that all the others would be subtracted from 3 points, only one or none of them.

classification

The new Serie A classification, before the last day, would therefore be this: Inter 40; Naples and Milan 36; Atalanta 34; Rome, Fiorentina and Juventus 28; Lazio 25; Empoli 24; Turin and Verona 22; Sassuolo and Bologna 21; Udinese 20; Venice 17; Sampdoria 16; Spezia and Genoa 10; Cagliari 9. Genoa would then grapple with Spezia, who are now chasing 3 lengths away, Verona would detach Sassuolo and Bologna and would flank Toro at 22, Venezia would move further away from the relegation zone (which at that point would involve the last ones 3 obviously) while Cagliari would shorten the distance from Spezia (from 3 to 1 point).
