SABU focuses on the future of members and industrial partners

Kay Wegerhoff is taking over the newly created “Business and Organizational Development” department with immediate effect

The Heilbronn-based group wants to gear its range of services across the entire value chain even more to future challenges and requirements. With the newly created staff unit, which reports directly to the management, the current and future needs of members and (contract) suppliers are to be identified, prioritized and implemented in concrete projects, working groups and measures at SABU. The goal is the cross-departmental and strategy-compliant optimization of the range of services offered by the full-service group.

Kay Wegerhoff, who has been the head and supervisor of all SABU sales concepts for the past year, will continue to be responsible for the content-related further development of these concepts in his new position. The concept partners of “Laufgut ®”, the successful concept of comfort shoes, will keep their contact person in him despite their specialization. In particular, the areas “fit – from slim to wide” and “interfaces between orthopedics and shoe retail” are an integral part of promoting the future viability of the specialized SABU dealers. The basic support in the trading concepts will continue to be carried out by the service advisors.

SABU Managing Director Stephan Krug: “With the newly created staff unit, we want to position ourselves even better for the future. The market is constantly changing and will change again after the pandemic. The overarching goal is to put the end consumer, the SABU members and the SABU suppliers even more in the focus of the activities of the association group headquarters and to optimize our services according to needs”.
