In addition to the failure of the S-Bahn due to a strike on Monday and Tuesday, Berliners are again threatened with road blockades from climate stickers from the beginning of the week.
The Last Generation group called on their supporters: “From May 15th – you too can come to Berlin.” In the past few days, the climate radicals had refrained from blockades in order to train new supporters in the time. Instead, there were some regular demonstrations in different cities.
Since January 2022, the group has been blocking roads and initiating other disruptive actions in museums and in front of ministries in order to enforce more measures against climate change.
In April, the climate stickers had stepped up their protest on Berlin’s streets, hundreds of police officers were on duty to break up blockades.
