Schoolchildren near Moscow are unlikely to see dumplings on the menu of canteens of educational institutions, reports RIA News

Formerly the Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobyov was outraged at a government meeting the absence of this popular dish in the school diet. “Give the kids dumplings!” – the head of the region demanded from the relevant ministry. The Minister of Education of the Moscow Region, Ilya Bronstein, replied that the absence of dumplings was dictated by sanitary requirements.

As follows from the answer of Rospotrebnadzor, there are dumplings in the menu of educational organizations of the Moscow region, no one forbade them. However, traditional molding of fresh dumplings with dough kneading and minced meat preparation in a school cafeteria is almost impossible. It will not be possible to prepare an amount sufficient for the nutrition of schoolchildren in a short time. And long-term storage of raw products leads to the risk of food poisoning.

For the version of ready-made food delivered in thermoses to schools in the Moscow region, dumplings are also unlikely to work. After transportation, boiled dumplings take on an unpresentable look, and children are unlikely to want to eat them.
