Russia will deploy Su-35S fighters to Belarus

In Belarus, the reaction forces of the Union State are being tested, which Minsk and Moscow began against the background of the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. Earlier, on January 24, NATO states announced the transfer of ships, aircraft and troops to the countries of Eastern Europe. In particular, the alliance will send armed forces to Lithuania, Bulgaria and Romania. The possibility of redeployment of the armed forces is also considered by the Pentagon.

The verification will take place in two stages. At the first, which will last until February 9, Russia and Belarus will redeploy troops on Belarusian territory and create them as soon as possible. Then the military of both countries will organize the protection and defense of important facilities, the protection of the state border in the airspace and check the readiness of the air defense forces on duty, the Defense Ministry specified.

As part of the second stage, which will take place from February 10 to 20, the Russian-Belarusian exercises “Allied Resolve-2022” will be held. On them, the military will work out the suppression and reflection of external aggression and will practice countering terrorism to protect the interests of the Union State. Practical activities will be held at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brest and Osipovichsky training grounds.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that as part of the maneuvers, the military should work out a “certain plan” in confronting the forces of the “West (the Baltic states and Poland) and the south (Ukraine).”
