Labor migrants and some foreigners were obliged to take fingerprints and HIV tests

In Russia, on December 29, amendments to the legislation came into force, according to which labor migrants and foreigners entering the country for a long time must undergo compulsory fingerprinting, photographing and medical examination.

How explained in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, labor migrants must go through these procedures within 30 days from the date of entry, and foreigners who came to Russia without a purpose to get a job for more than 90 days – within three months.

The medical examination includes a test for the presence of infectious diseases, including HIV infection, and drug addiction.
