Roberto Moldavsky: “Humor is asked too much”

“Add good times” is his head phrase. He loves making people laugh and was born with the gift for it. Thanks to Gustavo Yankelevich he was able to turn his passion into his profession. And his career has no ceiling. Today the new film of Sabrina farji, the romantic comedy “Ex Married“, beside Jorgelina Aruzzi. News: How did you experience the world premiere of “Ex Casados” at the Mar del Plata Film Festival?

Roberto Moldavsky: With great joy and with great emotion. I am very fan of the cinema. And debuting at a festival like Mar del Plata, a city that I love above all else, is too much. It is the first time that I go to the cinema to see myself! And without looking for 2×1 in the entrances.

News: Who proposed your film debut to you? How did the composition of your character work?

Moldavsky: The proposal came from the director, Sabrina Farji, who gave me the script. And when I thought it was some secondary role, he told me that he imagined myself in the role of the protagonist. He came to see me at the theater and was completely convinced. We worked on the character a lot with her and also with Jorgelina Aruzzi who helped me a lot.

News: How is the process of writing the monologues and songs for your shows?

Moldavsky: I start by thinking about the topics I want to talk about and then I look for a way. I do not do it alone, I am accompanied by my son Eial, who has a lot to do with the scripts, Chelo K, who directs the band, and a group of other people with whom we brainstorm, among them Gustavo Yankelevich and friends of mine. the ones that make them think and take things from them, like Gerardo, Julio, Mariana and the rest of the musicians as well. There we go to the writing process, where everyone contributes, but I decide how and what remains.

News: Do you have plans to tour or settle in to do a season with “The Moldavsky Method”?

Moldavsky: At the end of December we start the season at the Enjoy in Punta del Este until the end of January. And I hope that in February we can also do a season in Mar del Plata or Carlos Paz.

News: What things do you like to have in your dressing room at the theater or motorhome from the movie? What cabals do you use or what routine does you do before going on stage or filming?

Moldavsky: In my dressing room I like to have exotic animals, wild fruits and jasmine flavored water… No, nothing that special. Something to eat and drink, nothing more. And the kabbalah is that, since I go out before the musicians, I tell them: “I’m going to work, don’t you mind?” And they ask me to put alcohol gel on.

News: Which comedians did you admire as a kid? Who are your references today in humor?

Moldavsky: He admired Alberto Olmedo, Tato Bores, Niní Marshall, Fidel Pintos. Also to the Uruguayans, to Antonio Gasalla, in short, to almost everyone. Today I love the Capusotto / Saborido tandem. But there are thousands of talents in our humor today and telling you someone makes me afraid of forgetting the rest. From Gato Peters to Garabal, the Uncoded, Migue Granados, Dalia Gutmann, “The Guilt Girls”, Barraza, La Acher, Presta and Sole. You see you make me talk and I’m going to forget thousands.

News: Are you sometimes afraid of hurting feelings when you make jokes? How do you handle it?

Moldavsky: I feel like we have to be able to risk humorIf not, we would live by telling jokes about elephants and parrots. I try to probe the issues, and when in doubt about hurting, I prefer to rethink. TOHumor is always asked too much, as if a joke could be to blame for something.

News: Do you feel any unresolved guilt or frustration? How do you craft them to keep going without ruminant thoughts?

Moldavsky: Guilt is inherent in Judaism, so we’d be talking about that for hours. I would have liked to be Boca 9, to have invented the mop and to have sold so many things that I couldn’t. But ruminant thoughts do not haunt me. Although from this question I think they are going to start and I am already beginning to feel bad.

News: Well, let’s talk about happiness. In the Master Chef style, what ingredients are essential in a recipe for happiness and how would it be prepared?

Moldavsky: My phrase is “Have a good time”. It is with love, family, friends, a dog, good food, music and making people laugh.

News: What’s so special about traveling to Israel since it’s famous?

Moldavsky: I lived there for ten years and it’s like coming back to a house where you lived. I have friends, family and a very strong bond with Israel. The audience there is incredible. And on top of that, the dollar goes down instead of up. What more could you want?

News: How is a day in Roberto’s life, away from showbiz, in the privacy of his home?

Moldavsky: I do not want to reveal my life because it would end the fantasy of what famous people do in their spare time. But I’m just going to tell you that I wake up at 5 in the morning religiously to urinate, I go back to sleep and after that there is a succession of meals, interrupted by other minor events.

News: How is Roberto in love? What is the best plan to do together with your girlfriend?

Moldavsky: The best plan is to spend hours lying around doing nothing, with theater, musicIf it is one of the Valentín Gómez, my band, better, and eat something nice. There is a part of the plan that I do not want to reveal for fear that readers will imagine me loose clothes.

News: How do you consider yourself as a person? What is the greatest lesson or legacy you want to leave your children?

Moldavsky: I’m a good guy and I empathize with people. With the change I made in my life, I showed Galia and Eial that you have to believe in dreams. The rest is to be attentive to help those who need it and understand that the twine is only a means and not an end in itself.

News: If you woke up tomorrow back in Once and fame had been a dream, what would you do?

Moldavsky: I would put all the unsaleable jacket colors in the window and put up a sign that says: “Last units, Fashion Week in London colors.”
