Residents of Russian megalopolises named typical character traits of fellow countrymen – RBK

Residents of Moscow saw indifference in their fellow countrymen, and Voronezh residents noted a sense of style in clothes and intelligence, Rostovites noted a sense of humor of other citizens

Kindness and responsiveness are the main features of people who live in the same city, it follows from a survey of residents of all megacities of Russia. Muscovites were an exception; they were the only ones who mentioned indifference. The survey was conducted by the SuperJob job search service (RBC has it).

Thus, residents of Moscow considered other citizens to be polite and tactful (10%), energetic and active (10%) and cultural (9%), while pointing out their inherent indifference (9%) and haste with vanity (9%) … In St. Petersburg, they are more often seen in fellow countrymen politeness and tact (36%), followed by culture and good manners (30%) and responsiveness with kindness (22%).

The study was conducted by the method of a survey from August 6 to December 20 last year among economically active adult residents of megalopolises of Russia. In Moscow and St. Petersburg, 1 thousand people took part in the survey, in other cities – 500 people each, a total of 9 thousand respondents were interviewed.

Residents of Omsk (15%), Rostov-on-Don (11%), Volgograd, Perm and Krasnodar (10% each) considered themselves to have a sense of humor, while Kazan residents were the only ones who called themselves hospitable (13%). Moreover, only residents of Voronezh often see intelligence and intelligence in other residents of the city (7%), they also stated that their fellow countrymen have a sense of style in clothes (8%).
