Treating with the Londoners will be far from simple but the impact of the Portuguese did not leave the club indifferent

The contingencies, like the many accidents in the ward, count very little. Renato Veiga really like Juventus, the club as well as the fans who have already learned to know him in these first nine games with the Juventus shirt. The problem is that the Portuguese has only six other races to be played with the lady, including today’s trip to Parma. His dry loan, in fact, does not allow him to take part in the Club World Cup which will start in mid -June and will end with the final of 13 July. Or rather: without further agreements, the 21 -year -old could present himself in the United States of America wearing the club’s shirt that holds the card, Chelsea. Although the priority in Turin is the qualification for the next Champions League, the Technical Director Cristiano Giuntoli is already thinking of resuming contacts with the blues to hold Veiga in the long term. It is a far from simple road, given the investment of last summer of 14 million euros to withdraw it from Basel and the excellent responses given in a complex championship such as Serie A: the value of the defensive central has already increased and dealing with the Londoners will be anything but simple, for a growth that has also attracted other European realities.

The challenge

Veiga arrived at the end of January for 3.8 million euros (engagement included) to buffer the lady’s defensive emergency and did not have to wait to make their debut: on February 2 she was already owner in Juventus-Empoli. If we consider that Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor – overall – have always deployed it from the first minute when they had it available, with one exception, the impression is that the adaptation was simple. In reality, it is Renato that he made him seem such. At just 21 years old Veiga moved to a country that did not speak the language, to a club that had no time to wait for it and moreover in a championship where the interpretation of the non -possession phase is much more demanding than the European average. Veiga faced belly from the challenge and showed off an admirable spirit of adaptation: he put on the table an innate leader personality (he was a captain of Sporting B), he immediately started breathing the new football and also metabolized the change of coach. The results are there for all to see. That is: he showed that he is worth Juventus.
