The release of Christian Horner as Red Bull team boss made high waves. Now the other mighty man of the racing team is also expressed.

Red Bull Motor Sports Advisor Helmut Marko broke his silence to discharge team boss Christian Horner. In a message from the Formula 1 racing team, the 82-year-old Austrian is cited as follows: “Christian and I worked very successfully for over 20 years-in Formula 1 and in Formula 3000.”

“I would like to thank Christian for this,” continued Marko. During the time together, some remarkable successes were celebrated. “We helped develop two driver world champions and several Grand Prix winners. That was always-and is still-the Red Bull-Weg,” says Marko.

Then he also goes into the current situation at the Austrian racing team. “There are still twelve races ahead of us and we will continue to fight for the World Driving World Championship as long as it is mathematically possible,” says Marko’s announcement.

Marko had made the then 31-year-old Horner together with Red Bull founder Dietrich Mateschitz in 2005 the team leader of the newly founded Formula 1 team. In the past two decades, the shower manufacturer has celebrated eight driver titles with Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen as well as six designer titles in the premier class of motorsport.

However, it had already become restless last year. Horner was accused of assuming behavior by an employee. The scandal was embedded in a power struggle between Marko and Horner. In the end, however, the two powerful Red Bull boss came together again. But other employees, such as Design-Genie Adrian Newey, who had designed all world championship cars for the team, fled.

Red Bull experienced a sporty crash. First, the constupling title was lost to McLaren last season and this year, Derstackens now seems to be out of reach again with the drivers. The Dutchman is already 69 points behind the World Cup leading Oscar Piatri and always complains about the poor driveability of his car. Most recently, there were repeated reports about a change from the Dutch to Mercedes. In the middle of these rumors, Horner’s expulsion followed.
