In the spring, a judge ruled that the new owner Kennemerpark had the right to have the campsite evacuated to develop a bungalow park there, even though there is no nature permit for the redesign. The camping guests appealed against this. But that procedure can take a long time.
Deadline
In the meantime, the recreationists should evacuate their caravan spots on 1 October. Just before the deadline they have now received a postponement from the judge. The new owner is not yet in writing that the nature permit, which has been required since the end of 2024 in construction work in the vicinity of a Natura 2000 area.
“We had expected that,” says a relieved spokesperson Geert Sijtzema of the campsite guests. “And we assume that we now also find the highest judge on our side.”
Horror
Sijtzema had not cleaned up his caravan yet, other guests had only made their caravan on the side. Next Saturday, the fence will close at the Sandevoerde campsite for the winter season, as always.
“Now I will quickly go out of work to Zandvoort for a drink there. We have something to celebrate.” Geert would just expect to return to the campsite next season.
