On Saturday (July 12th) the fourth edition of the technoparade “Rave the Planet” took place in Berlin. Despite rainy weather, around 100,000 people came to Rave the Planet 2025 to the street of June 17th. The organizers spoke of a six -digit number. Initially, around 300,000 Raver: on the inside was expected.
The parade started at 2 p.m. under the motto “Our Future is now”. She was officially registered as a demonstration. According to the organizer, 35 music floats and around 290 artists took part in the event. As in previous years, the route was between Brandenburg Gate and Victory Column.
According to a police spokeswoman, the event was largely peaceful, but there were individual arrests – that reports “tagesschau.de“. Around 1,000 police forces were in action, including units from North Rhine-Westphalia.
Rave the Planet 2025: Relaxed situation
The medical service also spoke of a “relaxed situation” with few treatment cases. According to the organizer, a total of around 600 security forces and up to 300 paramedics were deployed. The road on June 17th had been completely closed to traffic since Friday evening. Further closures concerned the surrounding streets around the zoo on Saturday. According to the Berlin transport information center, the area should be released by Sunday morning. The Berlin Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) also temporarily blocked the Brandenburg Gate and Bundestag train stations. For security reasons, there were no trains there.
The organizers remember again: The route leads past a nature reserve and the monument for the Sinti and Roma murdered in National Socialism. Participants should behave respectfully there.
These acts occurred
The Rave-the Planet demo is primarily dedicated to electronic music. Around 35 music cars – so -called floats – with acts like Dr. Motte, Westbam, Oguz and Saytek. If you want to dance directly on a truck, you need a ticket, which sometimes costs over 140 euros. In addition to celebrating, it is about clear demands: a statutory techno holiday, the protection of clubs, the abolition of dance bans and the recognition of electronic music as an intangible cultural heritage. The right of assembly should also be modernized.
