Lady Farham was the Lady of Bedchamber, or the Queen’s personal assistant, from 1987. She also regularly accompanied Elizabeth on car trips to certain venues. Elizabeth and Lady Farham are said to have spent so much time together that they were also good friends.
A source close to the Queen tells The Telegraph it is very sad news for Elizabeth. “Everyone loved Lady Farham, she was a funny and a really nice woman.”
