From Brabantse Peilingen to world title Van de Wouw: these are the five stories you must read on Saturday.

PVV remains the largest party in Brabant with 20 percent of the votes, but is losing ground compared to 2023. The CDA makes a big leap forward to 14.5 percent and becomes the second party. The VVD follows closely with 14.4 percent. Tonight the seven largest parties will debate during the Debate of the South in Tilburg. You can read the whole story here.

Henri Bontenbal of the CDA is, according to more than 30 percent of Brabanders, the best candidate for prime minister. Research by Kieskompas also shows that half of Brabanders are still undecided, but will vote. The majority hopes for a centre-right cabinet. Read the analysis here.

Track cyclist Hetty van de Wouw from Kaatsheuvel has become world champion in the sprint event for the first time. The 27-year-old rider convincingly defeated Japan’s Mina Sato in two heats in the final. Earlier this week, Van de Wouw already won gold in the team sprint. You can read her story here.
