The telephone conversation between the Presidents of Russia and the United States Vladimir Putin and Joe Biden began at about 19:00 Moscow time. It is reported by NBC with reference to the White House.

Earlier in the day, a telephone conversation took place between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The Russian minister accused the United States and its allies of provocative actions that are pushing Kiev towards a “forceful solution” to the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine. He also noted that Washington ignored the key points of the proposed security guarantees.
