Most games under Inzaghi
Inter Milan will continue to rely on the services of defender Francesco Acerbi in the future. As the Champions League finalist announced on Friday evening, the Nerazzurri will sign the central defender, who has been loaned out by league rivals Lazio, thanks to a purchase option. Inter did not provide any information about the amount of the transfer fee, according to reports, 3.5 million euros will be due.
The 35-year-old European champion of 2021 has played a total of 353 games in Serie A so far, 157 of them at US Sassuolo, 135 at Lazio, 31 at Inter, 24 at Chievo Verona and six at AC Milan. With 186 games in all competitions, he made the most appearances under his current coach Simone Inzaghi, who had already made Acerbi his defence-in-chief at Lazio.
