The prisoner in question was busy in the garden as part of a learning process. It is not clear whether she had assistance in her escape, the DJI said. The other inmates following the same learning path were detained in their cells shortly after the incident.
The prison service has launched an investigation into the incident. Several employees had given the woman permission to work in the garden. It was also assessed whether she might try to escape.
