Center forward Andrew Wooten is no longer in the service of Preußen Münster: The 34-year-old canceled his working paper, which originally ran until the end of the season, at his own request with immediate effect and in agreement with his employer, the third division club announced.
Wooten moved from VfL Osnabrück to Hammerstrasse in the summer of 2022 and has since played 45 competitive games for Münster, in which he contributed 26 goals and eleven assists. With 26 goals, the American played a significant role in Prussia’s promotion in the summer of 2023. “As part of the promotion team, Andrew will forever have his place in the Prussian history books. With his goals, assists and his personality, he was one of the cornerstones of his return to professional football. Even in recent difficult phases, Andrew has put himself fully into the service of the team and the club. That’s why we didn’t want to stand in the way of his desire for change. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude and wish him all the best for his future journey,” says Peter Niemeyer, Managing Director of Sport.
