FC Bayern Munich immediately lodged a protest at the UEFA meeting because of the short-term police measures taken when fans traveled to the Champions League game at Paris Saint-Germain. They also want to take further legal options, the club said in a statement on the evening before the game on Tuesday (9 p.m./Prime Video). The French club also supports FC Bayern in the matter.

The Paris police prefecture issued a general order on Monday regulating travel to the Parc des Princes stadium. The decree stipulates that all fan buses must gather at a toll booth in front of the city before the game and that all other Bayern fans should only come to the stadium by public transport. After the game, fans should return to their original means of transport.
“For FC Bayern, the short-term nature of the order is unacceptable, as in this case, as with all of the German record champions’ games, all the crucial information has been available transparently for weeks,” said the record champions. In addition, there has been no change in the risk situation with regard to FC Bayern fans since the last meeting in Paris in 2023. Due to official requirements, the fan buses will probably only be able to leave Paris in the early morning hours from around 5 a.m. to make their way home due to driving times.
FC Bayern: Kompany praises Enrique for “revolutionary things” in Paris
Bayern coach Vincent Kompany has meanwhile praised the work of his coaching colleague Luis Enrique at Champions League winners PSG. The Spaniard did something “revolutionary” at France’s top football club. “You underestimate the fact that PSG was a club with the biggest stars in the world,” said Kompany, referring to world-class players like Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.
