Polar bears on land

Russian photographer Dmitry Kokh traveled to the far northeast corner of his country: Chukotka. On the endless tundra, he saw how polar bears have found shelter in abandoned villages. They also often report to villages that are inhabited, in search of food. Climate change has thawed many ice floes on the seas around Chukotka. As a result, the bears can no longer hunt for sea creatures that are actually on their menu.
