Placebo have released another new song. “Try Better Next Time” is the third pre-single from their forthcoming album NEVER LET ME GO. Listen to the track streamed here:

Try Better Next Time is about nothing less than the end of the world. Singer Brian Molko explains: “It is not the end of the world, only the end of humanity, a distinction that in our overblown hubris we are unable to detect. Mother Nature has grown extremely weary of us. Try better next time.” So everything is not so wild: It is not the world that is at the end, only humanity. Accordingly, the new album will deal with topics such as climate change, extreme inequality and a society that is under constant surveillance.

In the past few months, Placebo had already released the songs “Beautiful James” and “Surrounded By Spies”. “Beautiful James” was Placebo’s first new song in five years. In August 2016 the single “Jesus’s Son” was released. Her seventh album LOUD LIKE LOVE, which is still up to date, was released in 2013. Its successor, NEVER LET ME GO, is scheduled for release on March 25, 2022. A tour is also planned.
