A woman who had her first paid modeling job experienced a ‘horror shoot’ years ago. In a café in Breda she was assaulted by the stylist of the photo shoot. He rubbed her with a special cream and touched her everywhere, it turned out in the court in Breda on Tuesday.
It became clear that this stylist had a special working method. He applied a special cream to the models that would ‘make them shine’. The woman, who was modeling for the first time, thought it was strange. Then things got even weirder when the stylist started complimenting her breasts and groping her. Under the guise of styling, he kept touching her breasts.
“Wow, any man would be turned on by your body,” the stylist allegedly said, according to the woman. “No one can believe this is my job. Your breasts are perfect.” During the shoot the stylist also pulled one strapless dress down, leaving the woman standing bare-chested in the cafe. According to her, the stylist kept threatening that she would have to pay for the costs shoot had to pay if she didn’t just cooperate.
‘Typical male’
Other attendees also noticed that the stylist had a strange working method. For example, another woman called the modeling agency to say that he was very intimidating. She was touched and rubbed everywhere. And the photographer present stated that the stylist pushed the models’ breasts into the right place if they did not fit properly. “We thought he was a typical man,” he told the police. “He was picking and that’s not right. I advised the models to say something or stop.”
The stylist himself was not present at the hearing on Tuesday. He currently lives in Indonesia. According to his lawyer, his method may have been a bit rough, but there was no coercion anywhere. The stylist also denies that he, for example, rubbed the woman near her private parts. “She could have done it herself, but she didn’t say that,” he previously stated.
Officer’s apologies
The incident took place almost eight years ago in a café in Breda. The public prosecutor apologized for delaying this case for so long. Partly for that reason, he demanded ‘only’ two days in prison, which the stylist has already served in pre-trial detention. Besides the fact that the stylist lives in Indonesia, he is also terminally ill. The man would only have one year to live, his lawyer said.
The woman is still troubled by the incident. She thinks she may have missed out on a great modeling career due to the assault and intimidating working method. She therefore demanded compensation of 10,000 euros.
The verdict in this case is on December 24.
