Petersburg court decided to arrest the killer of Igor Talkov

The Petrogradsky District Court decided to arrest the defendant criminal case on the murder of Igor Talkov, on Thursday, January 20, reports the joint press service of the courts of St. Petersburg.

According to investigators, in October 1991, in the Yubileiny sports palace, Valery Shlyafman, who was the director of the victim, took away the Nagant revolver from Igor Malakhov, who represented interests of the singer Aziza, and shot at him, but the bullet hit Talkov, the singer died on the spot from his wound.

Conflict, flared up in Talkov’s dressing room and ended with the death of the latter, occurred due to a dispute about the order of performance of the artists.

It is known that during the confrontation, Talkov and his bodyguards used physical force on Malakhov and knocked him to the floor, after which the weapon ended up in the hands of the killer.

After that Shlyafman tried to confuse the investigation, claimed that the shot was made by Igor Malakhov, hid the weapon of the crime, and tried to influence the testimony of witnesses.

After some time, he left Russia and moved to Israel, from where, according to law enforcement officers, he has not left since the early 90s of the last century.

It is noted that Valery Shlyafman is on the international wanted list, and now, if he is extradited to the territory of the Russian Federation, or from the moment of detention on the territory of the Russian Federation, he will be immediately arrested for two months.
