Peter Doherty announces new album and European tour

Peter Doherty announces a collaborative album with French musician Frédéric Lo. THE FANTASY LIFE OF POETRY & CRIME is scheduled for release in March. After the album release, the British rock musician wants to play a few concerts in Europe – including in Germany.

The collaboration with Frédéric Lo follows a strict division of labor: Lo provides the music and Doherty the lyrics. The new songs are to be understood as odes to the well-placed word.

Fans can also look forward to live shows with Doherty. After the album release in March, he wants to do some gigs in Europe. The musician is also expected to give two concerts in Germany in May. One in Cologne, one in Berlin. Tickets for the shows are available here.

The now 42-year-old became famous with his band The Libertines, with whom he released four studio albums. After a rift and the band split up in 2004, he continued his success with Babyshambles. He later reunited with The Libertines. The group last released an album together in 2015.

He also made a name for himself as a solo artist. His most recent solo album HAMBURG DEMONSTRATIONS is inspired by Doherty’s time in Hamburg and was released in 2016. Doherty last released a long player in 2019 together with his band Peter Doherty & the Puta Madres.

THE FANTASY LIFE OF POETRY & CRIME is scheduled for release on March 18th.
