Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov believes that the publicist Viktor Shenderovich left the Russian Federationto avoid being sued by opponents.
As Peskov said on Tuesday, foreign agent status, which Viktor Shenderovich previously received, “does not restrict either in rights, or in the ability to carry out activities, in anything.”
Peskov explained that Shenderovich was sued because of his statements.
“Apparently, an attempt to hide in this case from the consideration of the claims of his opponents in court, it has nothing to do with any statuses,” the Kremlin spokesman said.
