Media reports that Russia may cut gas supplies to Europe if sanctions are imposed against it are an example of “fake hysteria”. This was stated by the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov. TASS.

“This is another brilliant example of fake hysteria,” the spokesman said. According to Peskov, it is created through various fake and provocative stories.

As the Kremlin spokesman emphasized, in moments of deterioration in relations with the West, Russia has always “been a reliable guarantor of Europe’s energy security” and fulfilled its obligations under contracts.

Earlier, The Times, citing sources, reported on the fears of British officials that due to possible Western sanctions against Moscow on Ukraine, Russia will reduce gas supplies to Europe.
