Penyagolosa Trails kicks off the 23rd edition of the MiM and the 10th of the CSP

Penyagolosa Trails has kicked off the 2022 edition with the presentation and traditional draw held at the Diputació de Castelló. The extracted ballot was 1475, so the lucky numbers to participate in the MiM are from 1 to 75 and from 1475 to 2599, while in the CSP all those pre-registered will have the option of bib number for an edition that will be held from April 22 to 24.

Penyagolosa Trails is back with a bang after the 2020 break caused by the pandemic. In October of last year it held its most anticipated edition and now it has practically registered 4,000 pre-registrations from 41 different nationalities and from 44 Spanish provinces. Some figures that once again show the great interest that Penyagolosa Trails arouses, an event that is a benchmark for trail running nationally and internationally.

Yesterday’s event was led by speaker Depa and was attended by the president of the Castelló Provincial Council, José Martí, the Government Delegate in Castellón, Soledad Ten, the Consell Delegate, Eva Redondo, the Regional Secretary for Culture and Sports, Raquel Tamarit, the sports deputy of the provincial administration, Tania Baños or the representative of the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, Dani Olmos, among other authorities. In addition, the sponsors of the test, security forces that participate in the event such as the Civil Guard and the Provincial Firefighters Consortium, and also members of the collaborating clubs have been present.

The director of Penyagolosa Trails, Tico Cervera wanted to thank the support of all the sponsors and also that thousands of runners have made their pre-registration to be in the next edition. Thus, he pointed out that “in October we returned after the break imposed by the pandemic and we felt the magic of mountain races again. Now, we want the 2022 edition to also be a very special edition and we are already working hard for this”.

Yesterday’s act has also served to present the official spot of Penyagolosa Trails 2022 and show in public the new image that has as a slogan “Trail can’t be stopped”.

Solidarity bibs and donation against cancer

The director of Penyagolosa Trails, Tico Cervera, today also delivered a check for €1,044 to the Spanish Association Against Cancer. In this way, the organization has once again donated one euro per finisher of the last edition to this cause.

On the other hand, 15 solidarity bibs have been made available to runners, which will go to the Huellas Callejeras organization.
