A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a car this evening. The accident happened on the Laan van Athene, where the victim was walking the dog. Photos show that the dog is dead.
The police confirm that the pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to hospital, but cannot say much about the cause of the accident or the nature of the injuries.
However, a spokesperson says that an extensive investigation is being carried out into how the accident could have happened.
