Mega-influencer Kylie Jenner made a splash at the just-started Haute Couture fashion week in Paris. She dressed in a black velvet evening dress, which was decorated with a huge, three-dimensional, and still realistically sized, lion’s head.

It is an evening dress from the traditional Parisian fashion house Schiaparelli. Jenner clearly wanted to emphasize in her edited Instagram post that it is not a real lion.

He first praises the fashion house’s current chief designer and then writes how wonderful it was to wear the fashion house’s faux, i.e. artificial art creation, made of artificial fur and materials.

Despite this, Jenner’s publication has been filled with comments criticizing the star for betraying her judgment and stressing that the outfit is not animal-friendly or appropriate. Jenner’s Instagram post can be accessed from here.

The Italian it girl Chiara Ferragni also edited her own Instagram post with Jenner and now underlines the fake lion in question. Ferragni has also been the brand face of Schiaparelli for several seasons.

The fashion house is known for sculptural clothes, corset-like silhouettes and striking details. The fashion house was founded by Italian aristocrat Elsa Schiaparelli in Paris in 1927.
