Bass-driven club music that appeals to dance muscles and synapses alike.

Beatrice Masters has quickly made a name for herself as a DJ and with the Bait label, but above all as a producer at the intersection of lots of bass and broken rhythms. “Dear Dubstep” is the name of a track from the debut album SINKING and is therefore deceptive in two respects: on the one hand it is a seething ambient piece, on the other hand there are not that many borrowings from the British underground sound on SINKING, which was later perverted by Skrillex and Co. – instead, techno and house turn out to be the stylistic cornerstones of most of the tracks.

But Beatrice M. reproduces unfamiliar formulas: she underlines rhythmically complex patterns with pleasant, cottony chords and even lets two MCs enter into a French-English dialogue on “In Touch”. Despite its sometimes breathtaking speed, it conveys a complexity that has an impact far beyond the dance floor – as innovative club music that creates great moments in every situation.
