On Monday, July 7th, the 62-year-old drummer published personal news on social media. It says: “After 27 fantastic years I took my last steps of the drumriser for the mighty Pearl Jam. A lot of love and respect for Ed, Mike and Stone for taking me into the band in 1998 and giving me the chance of my life – a time full of friendships, art, challenges and laughter.”
In his posting, Matt Cameron continued: “I am grateful forever – the crew, the entire team and fans around the world. It was an incredible journey. It will follow even more. Thank you all with all my heart.”
