So Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day leads the crowd to a “F *** Donald Trump” choir
Billie Joe Armstrong celebrated independence day by criticizing the current president. During a concert at Rock Werchter in Belgium at the weekend, the front man of Green Day headed the audience to a “Fuck Donald Trump” choir.
The punk band opened its set with “American Idiot”, with Armstrong changed the text to “I’m not a part of the maga agenda”. A common text change in recent green-day appearances. The musicians passed “Holiday” and asked the crowd to call them “Fuck Donald Trump” during a longer jam session.

During the set, the band also played part of “The Star Spangled Banner”, the American national anthem before moving over to “Wake Me Up when September Ends”.
Armstrong is a loud critic of Trump and his policy and regularly uses Green-Day concerts as a platform to publicly attack the president and his ally. In June, the front man “Fuck Off” said in the direction of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Trump administration to support the thousands of residents in the Los Angeles area that had protected against raids against the immigrant community.
Continuous protest at concerts
“American Idiot” was originally written about George W. Bush’s presidential administration. At this year’s “New Year’s Rockin ‘Eve” Green Day sang strikingly “Not a part of the Maga Agenda”.
After the election in January, Armstrong also targeted Elon Musk. During a performance in Johannesburg, South Africa, the band changed the lyrics of “American Idiot” to attack the Tesla and X-CEO: “I’m not a part of the elon agenda.”
