Patty Brard thinks it is very lame of Marc-Marie Huijbregts that he has forbidden Shownieuws to broadcast a certain fragment from his podcast. “I think it’s very childish.”
Shownieuws always likes to present witty fragments from Marc-Marie Huijbregts’ podcast. His somewhat self-provoked burglary was also discussed in the show section last week. A ‘dumbo’, Patty called him after the clip. The comedian had stuck his house key in a kind of safe on his own front door.
‘I hear a woman’
Yesterday Marc-Marie came in his podcast, which he makes together with his sidekick Aaf Brandt Corstius, again with a striking revelation. The comedian had to call ABN AMRO last week, but encountered a slug of an employee. He didn’t want to believe that Marc-Marie really is a man.
It was terribly hurtful, Marc-Marie said. “She says, ‘Then I need to go over some information with you, ma’am.’ I say, “Well, sir.” Then she says, ‘Oh, when were you born? But ma’am…’ I say, ‘Again, it’s sir.’ She says, “Oh, you’re calling for your husband?” I say: ‘No, I am a gentleman myself.’ Is she quiet, she says: ‘But I hear a woman.’”

Just rude, says Marc-Marie. “It happens to me more often that people say: ‘Oh sorry, I didn’t hear that’, but I have never experienced this reaction. She says, “I hear a woman.” I say, “Give me to a colleague of yours who is more empathetic or to your manager.” “Yes, moment, moment.” Then she really puts me on hold for half an hour.”
And then? “Then she comes back and says, ‘I’m not going to help you any further, because I don’t trust you, because I clearly hear a woman.’ I just really didn’t know what to say. It was also just a really harmless thing about the accounting thing! I was really gutted! She hung me. I thought it was so stupid, I thought it was so bad.”
Not funny
This is not funny and not material that they can laugh about at Shownieuws, according to Marc-Marie. “Yes, and this is not something for… I can already see it coming that Shownieuws then says: ‘Hahaha, they thought he was a woman, hahaha!’ That they’re going to make funny jokes about that again, but this is just not suitable for that. Let that be said.”
They did joke about that burglary, the comedian also knows. “Then Patty Brard would say I was a dumbass. I don’t mind that at all, then I think: fine, it wasn’t that smart either.”
Childish
Patty revealed late last night in Shownieuws that she even spoke to Marc-Marie about her dumb sneer. “I called you dumbo and that has become a big thing. We texted about it and everything. So bad that I can’t tell the next story actually. We are not allowed to use the image.”
Now she doesn’t think he’s dumb, but childish. “I can imagine that that is a bit more sensitive and that he does not like that, but I also think it is very childish that we are suddenly not allowed to use the image of that podcast, Marc-Marie. We would not laugh about this, because we say that it was really not possible.”
