On Monday afternoon, a car and a van collided hard at an intersection of Plesmanstraat and Parimentierstraat in Hoogeveen. Police, fire brigade and an ambulance rushed to the scene.
The accident was probably caused by a priority error by one of the drivers. The occupants of the two vehicles were checked by paramedics. One of them was taken to the hospital.
The police are investigating the cause of the incident. The road was closed to traffic for a while, so that emergency services could proceed undisturbed.
